Job summary

Astec is seeking a seasoned NPD Manager to lead new product development from concept to post-launch validation. You will coordinate with product management, design teams and external consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring products are manufacturable across multiple facilities.

You will drive design reviews, prototype testing, risk analyses, and validation procedures, shaping product specifications and supporting manufacturing readiness in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• Experience in product validation for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical control systems.
• Supervisory experience and ability to guide engineers and designers.
• Ability to operate CAD and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and meet project schedules for new products.
• Determine resource utilization and coordinate with design teams.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate prototype builds for multi-site manufacturing.
• Develop work instructions and validation procedures for prototype testing.
• Oversee safety evaluations, testing, and documentation for NPD projects.
