Job summary

Astec, a global infrastructure and manufacturing company, is seeking an NPD Manager in the United States to lead new product development from concept to post-launch validation. You will interface with Product Management to define objectives, plan, execute, and finalize projects within deadlines and budget.

The role oversees internal/external teams and ensures products are designed for manufacture across facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
Experience in product validation for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
Experience preferred in aggregate processing and construction equipment manufacturing.
1+ years supervisory experience.
Ability to operate CAD and ERP systems.
Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary product design teams to develop engineering project schedules.
Determine and manage resource utilization for projects.
Ensure NPD teams stay focused on current projects.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
Coordinate prototype production and work instructions for multi-language, multi-site manufacturing.
Coordinate and manage product testing including physical, structural, reliability analyses.
Generate and maintain R&D tax credit documents; work with accounting and auditors.
