Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks an Engineering Supervisor for New Product Development in the Binghamton, NY area. This hands-on leadership role guides a multidisciplinary team through concept, prototyping, testing and product launches.

You will provide technical guidance in design, prototyping, testing, and design reviews, manage priorities across programs, and collaborate with Operations, Quality and Application Engineering to ensure smooth manufacturing transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years of product development engineering experience with hands-on prototyping.
• Leadership or technical mentorship experience.
• Experience with CAD/PDm systems such as Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Design, Development, and Test Engineers.
• Lead new product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance in design, prototyping, testing, and design reviews.
• Manage priorities and engineering resources across multiple development programs.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, and Application Engineering to support product development and manufacturing transition.
• Drive improvements to prototyping and product development processes.
