Job summary

CPS in Norton, MA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op/Intern to join a small team and help drive process improvements. You will gain hands-on exposure to 3d printing, ceramics, metal matrix manufacturing, and scaling production lines while supporting technicians and learning the production workflow.

You will work on projects that improve part transport, select optimal solutions for applications, ensure quality control, and perform root-cause analyses to enable high-level manufacturing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Interest in manufacturing methods, risk-based thinking, and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; data-driven mindset.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Address process improvement efforts for a new product line with a small team.
• Employ 5S and lean manufacturing techniques to streamline workflows.
• Ensure the best processes, machines, and tools are used on the production line.
• Conduct process workflow simulations, risk assessments, and validation documentation.
• Design and test jigs and aids to support productivity and performance.
• Support production by troubleshooting issues.
