Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Pueblo, CO, conducting one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams. This is a full-time position with a stable schedule and competitive benefits.

The NP/PA will review medical history, perform exams, document electronically, and forward results to the VA for disability determinations. Exams cover musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory systems, with ancillary tests on-site or nearby.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted NP or PA license for the duration of employment.
• NCCPA certification for PAs and ongoing certification.
• Master’s degree or completed NP/PA program.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility.
• Basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and provide one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams.
• Capture responses during exams via web-based forms; documentation sent to VA for disability determinations.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory systems.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on location or nearby.
