We are searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is motivated to work with Hematology/Oncology patients on a busy inpatient unit.
This full-time position will support our general Oncology population.
Prior Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.
Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols.
Supports physician to develop and maintain patients. Collaborates with specialties and maintains continuity of care.
Provides coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence.
Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority.
Perform procedures including but not limited to bone marrow aspirates and biopsies and lumbar punctures.
* PALS certification is required when assigned to Anesthesiology, Care Team, Complex Care, Fostering Health, H/O, Nephrology, and Neurology departments.
