Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Surgery Plastics Clinic. The APP will function as part of an interdisciplinary team under physician supervision to provide high-quality, cost-effective care within the APPs scope of practice.

The APP reflects UNC Health's mission and complies with policies and standards. Education: graduate-level APP program; Licensure in NC, board certification as required, and DEA.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate‑level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina (state licensure).
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history, perform physical exams, and develop differential diagnoses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with appropriate pharmacologic agents.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Lead or participate in quality initiatives and care improvement projects.
• Document thoroughly in medical records to support billing and care.
