NOW HIRING: Design Engineer

Morton Grove, IL

$100,000 – $130,000 per year (Based on Skills & Experience)

Full-Time | Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling for new production programs
• Create full manufacturing process flows including die stages and forming operations
• Determine sequence and number of die stages for cutting, punching, and forming
• Estimate tooling costs using material, labor, and subcontractor data
• Input pricing and sourcing information into ERP system
• Organize and lead Pre-Design and Process Release meetings
• Manage subcontract tooling assignments
• Oversee customer engineering changes and blueprint revisions
• Maintain design files and CNC program transfers
• Reverse engineer existing die sets and create electronic prints
• Support die tryouts and evaluate readiness for production

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred OR Trade school certification or minimum 5 years of die/tooling design experience

Proficiency in:

• SolidWorks
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Excel & Word
• Strong knowledge of progressive die and forming processes
• Experience estimating tooling costs
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with high noise levels
