Job summary

Right at Home in Bensalem, PA is seeking Experienced Caregivers and Aides for a Monday-Friday day position earning $16.00 - $18.00 per hour. Join an award-winning company with a culture built around kindness and flexible schedules to fit your time and needs.

As part of our friendly team, you will support seniors in the community, assist with transportation, daily activities, and personal care while upholding dignity and respect. Prior home care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional home care experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• TB test (PPD or QuantiFERON) within past year or Chest X-ray within past 5 years.
• Compassionate and patient with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients on/off the bus and accompany the driver to pickups and appointments.
• Lock wheelchairs on the bus and seating clients.
• Assist clients to the toilet in the community as needed.
• Support care for seniors with a friendly, professional approach.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Work in a fast-paced senior day center as a bus aide assisting clients getting on and off the bus.
• Responsible for going with the day center bus driver to pick up clients from their homes and drop them off at the end of the day. Will also go with clients to medical appointments.
• Responsible for locking wheelchairs in place on the bus and seating clients.
• Assist clients to the toilet in the community as needed.
• Alzheimer's and Dementia Experience a plus

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, insured automobile, and personal transportation
• Minimum 1 years of professional home care experience
• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate required
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick
• Enjoy spending time with seniors!
