This individual must be fluent in English and Spanish and knowledgeable about state-specific apprenticeship programs, journeyman classifications, trade licensing requirements, and license reciprocity between states.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced staffing environment, managing multiple job openings simultaneously, and utilizing a variety of recruiting platforms, sourcing tools, and candidate management systems to build a strong pipeline of qualified construction talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the recruiting process from sourcing and screening through qualification, placement, onboarding coordination, and follow-up.
  • Skilled Trades Recruitment: Recruit qualified construction tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, welders, HVAC technicians, ironworkers, millwrights, carpenters, equipment operators, and other specialty craft professionals.
  • Multi-State Recruiting: Source and place candidates across multiple states while understanding regional labor markets, workforce availability, and state-specific trade requirements.
  • Bilingual Candidate Engagement: Communicate effectively in English and Spanish with candidates, field personnel, and hiring managers to support recruitment, screening, and placement.
  • Apprenticeship & Journeyman Requirements: Understand applicable state apprenticeship programs, journeyman classifications, licensing requirements, and experience or credential verification processes.
  • License Reciprocity: Research and understand which states recognize or reciprocate qualifying trade licenses and identify when additional state licensing, verification, or examination may be required.
  • Recruiting Platforms & Tools: Utilize job boards, applicant tracking systems (ATS), resume databases, social media recruiting, professional networking platforms, referrals, and other sourcing tools to identify qualified candidates.
  • Candidate Qualification: Screen candidates for trade experience, certifications, licenses, safety credentials, work history, project experience, travel availability, and job-specific requirements.
  • Talent Pipeline Development: Maintain an active database of qualified tradespeople for current and upcoming construction projects.
  • Client & Hiring Manager Support: Partner with operations, project managers, and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, workforce demands, job requirements, and hiring timelines.
  • Recruiting Metrics: Track sourcing activity, candidate submissions, interviews, placements, time-to-fill, and other relevant recruiting performance indicators.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate candidate records and coordinate required documentation, credential verification, and onboarding steps in accordance with applicable requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience recruiting construction skilled trades professionals, preferably within a construction staffing agency or workforce solutions company.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting across multiple states and supporting projects with varying trade requirements.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in both languages.
  • Working knowledge of construction trades, including the differences between apprentice, journeyman, and other trade classifications.
  • Familiarity with state-specific trade licensing requirements and license reciprocity considerations.
  • Experience using multiple recruiting platforms, job boards, applicant tracking systems, candidate databases, and sourcing tools.
  • Strong candidate sourcing, interviewing, screening, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple open requisitions, prioritize urgent staffing needs, and meet recruiting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Branch Management Experience: Previous experience managing a staffing branch, recruiting office, or construction staffing operation is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of staffing branch operations, including recruiting performance, client relationship management, workforce fulfillment, business development, and operational coordination.
  • Experience managing recruiters, coordinating recruiting activities, monitoring performance metrics, and driving placement results.
  • Familiarity with staffing industry objectives, including revenue and gross margin performance, time-to-fill, client satisfaction, employee retention, and workforce compliance.
  • Ability to balance hands‑on recruiting responsibilities with operational leadership, team development, and business growth initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in construction staffing, industrial staffing, or skilled trades workforce placement.
  • Established network of qualified construction craft professionals.
  • Experience recruiting for large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or specialty construction projects.
  • Familiarity with union and non‑union workforces, prevailing wage projects, and applicable apprenticeship systems.
  • Experience with ATS platforms, CRM systems, Boolean searches, resume databases, social recruiting, and candidate engagement tools.
  • Knowledge of trade‑specific certifications, safety training, and project credentialing requirements.
