Job summary

Withum's Not-for-Profit Audit Senior will be based out of our Nashville office, taking a lead role on planning, execution, and wrap-up of audit engagements while supervising staff and fostering strong client relationships.

You'll collaborate with seasoned CPAs to deliver high-quality assurance services, oversee budgets, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and nonprofit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CPA eligible.
• 2-3 years of public accounting experience with leading engagements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including US GAAP familiarity.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement staff on planning and execution of audits, reviews or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day audit engagement operations including staffing and budgeting.
• Provide supervision and mentor staff; maintain client relationships.
• Oversee attest procedures for nonprofits with focus on trade and membership orgs.
• Collaborate with management on issue resolution, regulatory and accounting guidance.
• Review schedules and GL accounts for accurate entries.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet deadlines.
• Conduct discussions on evaluations and provide guidance to team members.
• Contribute as instructor or discussion leader in professional development.
