True North Consultants, Inc. in the Greater Chicagoland area is seeking an experienced Audit Manager specializing in not-for-profit organizations to lead engagements, mentor teams, and build long-term client relationships.

This role offers ownership of client engagements, collaboration with Partners, advancement potential, and a focus on nonprofit industry developments within a supportive, growth‑oriented firm with strong work-life balance and competitive compensation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; master's preferred.
• 5–7+ years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Experience managing audits from planning to completion.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and financial statement prep.
• Experience supervising audit staff and building client relationships.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit clients.
• Oversee planning, fieldwork, financial reporting, and deliverables.
• Develop engagement budgets, staffing plans, and timelines.
• Review workpapers, reports, and management letters.
• Mentor associates and coordinate staffing.
• Communicate findings with client leadership and Partners.
