Management Performance Associates in the Greater Chicagoland area is seeking an Audit Manager specializing in Not-for-Profit organizations. You will lead nonprofit audits, manage client engagements, and mentor audit teams while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5–7+ years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Experience managing audits from planning to completion.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and financial statement prep.
• Experience supervising, reviewing, and developing staff.
• Excellent client relationship management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit clients across educational, charitable, and healthcare sectors.
• Oversee planning, fieldwork, reporting, and final deliverables.
• Develop audit strategies, budgets, staffing plans, and timelines.
• Review work papers, footnotes, and management letters.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to client leadership.
• Collaborate with partners on engagement strategy and business development.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff.
