Job summary

TALENT Software Services is actively seeking a Consultant (I9) NoSQL Database Administrator with deep expertise in Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, and other NoSQL platforms running on Linux VM and Kubernetes.

You will own planning and implementation of fully functional NoSQL clusters, manage multiple environments, and drive automation using Ansible, OLAM, and Devin for SDDriven development, ensuring reliability and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of related experience in design, maintenance and administration of NoSQL databases on Linux VM & Kubernetes.
• Hands-on Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development, SDD for NoSQL provisioning.
• Deep knowledge of database principles, cluster management, replication and multi-datacenter configs.
• Experience with monitoring, capacity planning, backups, security and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day DB administration, support and maintenance for NoSQL databases on Linux VM and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks; support Devin-based SDD for automation.
• Plan patches, upgrades and capacity expansion to ensure scalable DB environments.
• Troubleshoot, tune performance and optimize NoSQL platforms across environments.
• Monitor health, high availability, DR and backup/recovery operations.

Job Description: Consultant (I9) - NoSQL Database Administrator with Ansible/OLAM Automation Development

The individual should have strong hands-on knowledge at least two or more NoSQL database administration such as Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, SingleStore, StarDog, etc. on Linux VM & Kubernetes. It includes the creation and implementation of fully functional NoSQL database clusters, ability to maintain multiple production and non-production database environments with strong experience in troubleshooting, break-fix issues, upgrades, configuration management, migration and patching activities. Hands on strong Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development, AI Native development skills using Devin for Spec Driven Development (SDD) for NoSQL platform automation/development and support.

• Responsible for providing day-to-day DB administration & support, and maintenance for existing and new NoSQL databases on Linux VM and Kubernetes
• Responsible for Ansible automation, OLAM playbook on Linux VM & Kubernetes, AI Native development skills using Devin for Spec Driven Development (SDD)
• Assist in planning and performing database patching, upgrades and implementing capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability of the databases
• Perform debugging, tuning and performance enhancement of the NoSQL database platform
• Monitor the health, High Availability, Disaster Recovery solutions and Backup/Recovery operations

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or hands on work experience.
• Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with bachelor's degree or 8+ years of related experience with master's degree in the design, maintenance, and administration of NoSQL databases on Linux VM & Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience in Ansible automation & OLAM playbook development, AI Native Spec Driven Development (SDD) for NoSQL DB platform provisioning, DB installation, upgrade / patching and DBA administration activities.
• Deep understanding of Database principles, Db cluster management, replication, and multi-datacenter configuration
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, management, capacity planning and compaction strategy
• Good knowledge of database backup and recovery, connectivity and security, and role management
• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
• Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues

Professional Certifications: Ansible automation development, DataStax Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j certification is preferred.
