Job summary

Landmark Funeral Group seeks a Regional Director of Operations to lead the operational, financial, and leadership performance of ~10–15 funeral home locations within an assigned region. This role emphasizes strong local execution and improving family-centered service.

The position requires travel about 75% across the region, regular site visits, and the ability to translate strategy into action through staffing, budgeting, and performance oversight.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience across multiple locations.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership with budgets, forecasts, revenue growth, labor, expenses, profitability.
• Experience developing managers and accountability across geographically dispersed locations.
• Strong financial acumen to interpret statements and operating metrics.
• Ability to improve operational performance through structured problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for 10–15 funeral home locations in the region.
• Set clear performance expectations and operating rhythms for area/location leaders.
• Monitor regional performance, identify trends, and implement action plans.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, facilities, and resources support service delivery.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Marketing, Preneed, M&A to execute priorities.
• Lead implementation of new processes, systems, and initiatives.
