Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking a Northwest Business Development Leader for Environmental Planning & Infrastructure to drive growth in the Pacific Northwest. Based in Seattle or Portland, this on-site role partners with directors to shape regional strategies and strengthen client relationships.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams on NEPA, SEPA, and permitting projects, mentor staff, and help recruit future leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental science, natural resources, engineering, geography, or related field.
15+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting, or 13+ years with advanced degree.
Proven success in developing business, winning projects, and growing client relationships.
Experience managing environmental planning and permitting projects.
Expertise in NEPA, SEPA, environmental review, and regulatory permitting.
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development strategies for Environmental Planning and Infrastructure in the Northwest.
Lead pursuits for major projects and expand ESA's presence in infrastructure markets.
Build and maintain relationships with public agencies, utilities, developers, and partners.
Collaborate with marketing and proposals to develop winning pursuit strategies and presentations.
Represent ESA at conferences, publications, and industry events.
Identify and recruit exceptional talent to support growth.
