Job summary

Tetra Tech in Plano or Dallas, TX, is seeking a Water Regional Manager to lead the North Texas Water practice, combining technical leadership in water treatment and water/wastewater infrastructure with business development and staff development to drive regional growth.

The role requires 15+ years in water/wastewater engineering, a Texas PE license (or obtain within 6 months), and a proven ability to manage large projects, mentor teams, and expand client relationships across municipalities and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related engineering field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 15+ years of progressive water/wastewater engineering experience with technical depth in water treatment or related infrastructure.
• Experience leading large, complex projects as technical expert and project manager.
• Experience mentoring staff and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record in client development, proposal leadership, and profitable delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and business contexts.
• Ability to balance technical work with regional leadership and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the North Texas Water practice as regional leader and technical expert.
• Mentor project managers and technical staff to build a high‑performing team.
• Direct strategically complex projects with focus on quality, compliance, and innovation.
• Maintain and expand client relationships across municipalities, utilities, and partners.
• Collaborate with operations on planning, negotiations, and regional growth strategy.
• Provide technical input for proposals, client presentations, and industry events.
• Support recruitment and retention of top technical talent.
• Oversee project performance to ensure client satisfaction and profitable delivery.
