Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced North Central Region Transportation Business Group Director to lead the region's transportation business and execute long‑term strategic plans from Fort Collins, CO. You will collaborate with Area leaders, manage staffing, and guide project delivery across multiple offices.

You will oversee annual financial planning, client management, and strategic pursuits while promoting HDR's employee-owned culture and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 12 years experience in related field.
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with regional directors, office managers, technical and marketing directors.
• Committed to quality, HDR values.
• Strong business skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead Region Transportation Business in executing the 5-year strategic plan and deliver the annual plan.
• Support Area Transportation leadership to conform to HDR MOA, QMS and other policies.
• Engage as Reviewer or Approver for MOA actions.
• Support workload, staffing, utilization, retention and recruiting.
• Engage with leaders in key staff recruiting and client management.
• Approve new position requisitions and offers in Taleo.
• Develop and achieve Annual Plan for NFB, NFE, OP and supporting metrics.
• Lead development of Annual Financial Plan for the Region.
