Job summary

HDR is seeking a North Central Regional Hydropower Practice Leader to drive growth and lead projects across the North Central Region, with a focus on pumped storage hydropower. The role includes supervision, business development, and coordination with HDR's teams, with geographic scope across multiple states.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in hydropower, PE licensure, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in hydropower projects and client relations.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and business development skills.
• Ability to travel and manage cross-location teams.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the US preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or partner on North-Central hydropower projects and act as project manager or discipline lead.
• Drive growth, oversee budgets, schedules, and quality control for hydropower work.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and support hiring and mentoring.
• Maintain client relations and participate in marketing and business development activities.
• Review hydration scope, codes, and regulatory issues; oversee staff performance.

Education

Bachelors in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
