Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Vegetation Program Lead to manage field teams in outdoor environments and coordinate with utility partners on sustainable right-of-way practices.

You will lead vegetation management operations, ensure safety, and support program direction with PG&E representatives. The role requires strong communication, a proactive problem solver mindset, and the ability to work in rugged terrain under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Degree or experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Leadership experience and familiarity with contractor work practices (preferred).
• Experience with emergency response or hazard tree removal (preferred).
• Strong plant ID and invasive species knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead vegetation management operations, contractor performance, project teams, and emergency response efforts.
• Solve moderate to highly complex problems independently; develop new approaches to improve processes.
• Coordinate and support vegetation management activities, including scheduling, progress monitoring, and process improvement.
• Assist with customer interactions, including complaints, refusals, and access issues, as directed.
• Provide support to Vegetation Management Inspectors and ensure on-site safety practices.
