Job purpose
We are seeking a driven, independent and creative market specialist to develop the Oxford International language schools brand in the region and establish the group as a leading player in the European and UK markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing our marketing strategy and leading recruitment campaigns in the region and will be expected to analyse and identify current market trends and key areas of opportunity. With a strong understanding of current market conditions and a well-established network of connections, you will work closely with our Head Office Sales and Marketing teams in London and Vancouver to develop resources, promotions, and programmes to increase student enrolments and raise awareness of the Oxford International brand throughout the region.
A good understanding of government scholarship programmes in the region and a track record of developing corporate agreements would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be given a large degree of autonomy and will therefore need to be independent, creative and able to work on their own initiative, but will be required to report back and work closely with the Global Sales Director, North America Languages and the VP, Global Sales North America.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement student recruitment strategies, for All Oxford international Language programmes and Career College programs, across Canada and the USA
- Ensure a consistent approach to policy and strategy implementation through regular and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Report on progress against objectives via agreed key performance metrics
- Manage all agent contracts and due diligence of agents
- Ensure business continuity in the region by maintaining relationships with key clients in the market and ensuring the region's business continues to grow year-on-year
- New agent acquisition to ensure continued growth of Oxford International’s agent base in the region.
- Contribute as required and from time to time to work on market research, remodelling existing services, service delivery model development and on implementing successful strategies across the region.
- Contribute to new business development through actively surveying the market to identify and maximise sales and product development opportunities;
- Identify and tender for International Scholarship and Sponsorship opportunities at both the government and corporate level.
- Communicate and disseminate intelligence gathered through a range of processes e.g. team briefings, training sessions, webinars etc.
- Provide a positive channel of communication and a collaborative effort between the region, Canada and US central offices/teams.
- Take responsibility for own personal development and development of market and product knowledge.
- Organise and attend regional meetings and events as required.
- Take part in training and development activities as required.
- Provide ideas and best practice synonymous with a high performance team.
- Ensure detailed and accurate records are maintained, e.g. recording contact and financial information.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures with regards to budget expenditure, displaying budget control for individual projects reporting any variances on a monthly basis.

Qualifications
- Educated to a minimum of degree level
- Fluent in English and French and/or Spanish
- Certified training in sales and/or marketing programmes (Desirable)
- Degree in a business or marketing-related subject (Desirable)
Experience and knowledge
- Significant experience in educational sales in order ‘to hit the ground running’ and have an immediate impact
- Excellent understanding of sales and marketing processes in the international education sector
- Excellent knowledge of the region and its market trends
- Excellent knowledge of the international education market
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products associated with international education
- Experience of producing sales reports
- Good knowledge of Oxford International’s portfolio of products and partners (Desirable)
- Excellent cultural understanding of the region (Desirable)
- Evidence of large network of connections and agency contacts in the region (Desirable)
- Experience of tendering for corporate and government contracts (Desirable)
