Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Procurement Director, North America (NORAM) to lead procurement strategy and execution across the region. Based in Pittsburgh, PA or Toronto, Canada, you will shape supplier relationships, governance, and value delivery for major projects.

You will partner with senior leaders across functions to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and risk management while driving procurement transformation and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 15+ years procurement and supply chain experience.
• Minimum 8 years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience leading procurement orgs across multiple sites, projects, and countries.
• Strong background in rail, transportation, infrastructure, engineering, industrial manufacturing, or complex project businesses.
• Proven leadership of large and complex procurement portfolios, typically exceeding €300M annual spend.

Responsibilities

• Lead North America procurement, reporting to Senior Director, SRS and alignment with global procurement.
• Drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, risk mitigation, and governance.
• Partner with business leaders, project delivery, engineering, operations, and finance to enable profitable growth and project execution.
• Develop and execute the NA procurement strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Lead regional procurement organization and drive regional P&L related to procurement initiatives.
