Job summary

PERI USA is seeking a Head of Procurement - North America in Elkridge, MD. You will lead the regional procurement strategy, drive cost efficiency, and manage procurement teams across the US and Canada.

This role requires strong SAP/ERP experience and cross-functional collaboration to align procurement with company goals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in strategic procurement within global contexts, demonstrates leadership excellence, and can navigate complex supplier landscapes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategic procurement, preferably global or international.
• Experience with SAP MM, eProcurement and ERP-system tools.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strategic thinker focusing on objectives and long-term goals.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills across regions.
• Proven leadership in a matrix organization.
• German language skills are advantageous.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.
• High attention to detail and process discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional procurement strategy for North America and drive cost efficiency.
• Oversee regional procurement teams and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Manage RFQ processes, supplier qualification, and KPI tracking.
• Ensure data quality in SAP/ERP systems and streamline ordering.
• Collaborate with operations, sales and finance on cross-functional initiatives.
• Advance procurement compliance with global requirements and risk management.
• Identify major suppliers and support Category/Project Procurement Manager.
• Translate global targets into regional objectives and monitor outcomes.
