Job summary

Team Liquid is seeking a Senior Manager, People Experience to own the HR operations mandate across the US and Canada, including benefits administration, payroll, compliance, and EOR management. You will manage a People & Culture Advisor in São Paulo and partner with business leaders on workforce planning and organizational design.

This hybrid, onsite role in Los Angeles requires deep knowledge of US and Canadian employment law, SAP SuccessFactors, and TriNet, plus a pragmatic, empathetic

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR or People & Culture experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Deep expertise in US benefits administration - medical, dental, vision, 401(k) - including plan management, open enrollment, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with TriNet or comparable PEO.
• Experience managing or overseeing an Employer of Record (EOR) relationship, ideally supporting Canadian employees.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors or comparable HRIS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal US employment law, with familiarity across Canadian provincial employment standards.
• Experience handling complex employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience supporting workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management initiatives.
• Track record of delivering employee engagement, retention, and culture-focused programs.
• Experience developing managers and supporting leadership teams through people-related initiatives.
• Comfort using people data and reporting to inform decision-making.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage US employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and open enrollment.
• Manage 401(k) plan administration, contributions, compliance testing, and communications with employees.
• Own TriNet PEO relationship, manage day-to-day, resolve queries, ensure data accuracy.
• Own Canadian EOR relationship, ensure compliance, payroll, and benefits obligations.
• Maintain SAP SuccessFactors for NA population: records, position management, and compensation data integrity.
• Provide guidance on US/CA employee relations, including performance management, investigations, and grievances.
• Ensure California-specific requirements (CFRA, PDL, wage/hour) and govt filings are met.
• Maintain NA HR policies and handbook aligned with global/local requirements.
• Oversee US employment contracts, onboarding and offboarding logistics, and payroll inputs to TriNet on time.
• Lead workforce planning and organizational design initiatives, mapping career paths and ensuring consistency.
• Deliver people data insights to inform leadership decisions.
• Lead or participate in global P&C projects as needed.
