Job summary

Worldpac, a leading provider of automotive parts, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist – North America to join our Human Resources team in Oak Brook, IL. You will process bi‑weekly payroll across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of end‑to‑end payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll taxes, reconciliations, and experience with Workday or ADP.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive payroll experience with end‑to‑end processing.
• Experience with U.S. multi‑state payroll and complex transactions.
• Proven experience with reconciliations, audits, and tax withholdings.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large payroll data sets.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain payroll concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Process bi‑weekly payroll for U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review, audit, and validate payroll data and changes; identify errors.
• Perform reconciliations and variance analysis of payroll records.
• Manage payroll tax and garnishment activities with providers.
• Support quarterly/year‑end processes including W‑2 validation.
• Maintain payroll data integrity and assist with system upgrades or testing.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, HRIS, and external payroll providers.
