Job summary

ME Elecmetal seeks a Technical Director – North America to shape and execute the technical strategy for integrated mining solutions across North America. You will lead Product Design, New Product Development, Materials Engineering, and Mineral Process Engineering while aligning with Global R&D and the Simulation Center of Excellence.

You will guide metallurgical and materials development, coordinate with manufacturing, and drive innovation that improves performance and reduces costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials/Mining Engineering or related field.
• Advanced engineering degree preferred.
• 10+ years in mining operations, mining equipment, mineral processing, or industrial manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in at least one mining process, preferably comminution.
• Experience leading technical, engineering, or product development teams.
• Proven ability translating customer challenges into engineered solutions.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and technical feasibility.
• Background in product development, process engineering, or technical services.
• Strong metallurgical and materials science knowledge.
• Familiarity with wear materials, alloys, corrosion resistance, and failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute North American technical strategy aligned with objectives.
• Lead Product Design and New Product Development teams.
• Translate customer needs into engineered solutions and specs.
• Coordinate simulation activities with Global Simulation Center of Excellence.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Direct metallurgical and materials development efforts; drive innovation.
• Establish standards, processes, and performance metrics.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor technical talent.
• Present technical recommendations to executive leadership.
