Job summary

Ultimo, an IFS company, is seeking a senior Finance professional to lead US accounting and control for our North American business. You will own the US month-end close, ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS where relevant, and coordinate with European leadership to keep group reporting clean.

You will strengthen US fiscal control, manage payroll/benefits, tax compliance, treasury and project accounting, and guide the local accounting team within a global, fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Experience in Controller/Senior Accounting Manager/Finance Manager role in a multinational
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and multi-state sales and use tax
• IFRS knowledge preferred
• Experience with payroll, benefits, banking and payment controls
• Based in the United States within the Eastern Time Zone
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders and external advisers
• Experience in SaaS/software and with Certinia/Lucanet/Avalara is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Own US month-end close and key balance sheet accounts
• Ensure US accounting aligns with group policy under IFRS and US GAAP adjustments
• Lead US sales and use tax across multiple states with Avalara
• Maintain US finance/compliance calendar and liaise with auditors/tax advisers
• Partner with HR on US payroll and benefits accounting
• Run US treasury: cash forecasting and payments within controls
• Own US project and commission accounting with FP&A, Sales and HR
• Provide input to intercompany accounting and FX revaluation
• Lead US accounting team and drive standardization with central Finance teams
