Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Director, Channel Distribution Strategy to design and evolve our channel strategies across the US and Canada, ensuring alignment with country regulations, program sustainability, strategic alliances, patient access and reimbursement considerations.

You will lead analytics and develop scalable distribution models, collaborating with Trade, pipeline and strategy teams to inform commercialization planning for small molecules, specialty and cell/gene therapies.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of drug distribution channels including cell and gene therapy, specialty distribution, specialty pharmacy and retail.
• 10+ years in commercial market access, trade and distribution.
• Experience with hospital, specialty and retail channels and understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on evolving supply chain and distribution laws, channel models and partner models across US and Canada.
• Lead a team in designing scalable distribution strategies to maximize patient access and achieve corporate goals.
• Support recommendations with analytics, policy considerations, reimbursement and patient access dynamics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align on channel distribution strategy development and present to Senior Leadership.
