Job summary

Remotecom is seeking a Global Payroll Country Lead for the Nordics (Denmark focus) to guide payroll implementations and client engagements from discovery through live payroll. You will collaborate with Sales, define project plans, and ensure timely delivery while navigating a fast, international environment.

The role requires extensive payroll expertise, Danish regulatory knowledge, and strong automation/AI fluency.

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll experience in a client payroll environment.
• Expert legislative knowledge in the Nordics with Denmark focus.
• Payroll implementation experience.
• Strong communication skills for explaining payroll processes to customers and stakeholders.
• Experience using Intega payroll software in Denmark.
• Deep knowledge of local payroll tools including SAP and Excel/Sheets.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international environment.
• Experience in accounting / reconciliations.
• Comfort with asynchronous work.
• Fluent English.
• Automation and AI capabilities fluency.

Responsibilities

• Act as a true subject matter expert for the Nordics (Denmark focus).
• Attend Sales calls as the Country Payroll Lead.
• Lead client hand-over and kick-off calls.
• Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of global payroll implementation projects.
• Manage the end-to-end implementation, including parallel runs and live payroll.
• Ensure decisions are documented and Payroll Operations have visibility including SOPs.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders in the implementation process.
• Develop and implement standardized payroll processes and procedures.
• Provide ongoing support during and after implementation.
• Support the wider implementation and ops teams.
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs.
• Mentor Payroll Generalists and collaborate with internal teams.
• Document changes from UAT testing through shipping.
