Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a German Payroll Implementation Lead to own complex German payroll implementations for global clients in a remote-first, Germany-focused role. You will serve as the Germany payroll expert, guiding discovery, configuration, testing and go-live while collaborating with global teams.

You will bring extensive German payroll experience, strong project management skills and fluency in German and English to drive compliant, efficient payroll delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• End-to-end German payroll experience in a payroll provider or outsourced environment.
• Experience delivering German payroll implementations from discovery to go-live.
• Knowledge of German payroll legislation, tax and compliance.
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end German payroll implementation projects for new clients.
• Act as the payroll SME for Germany throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Support client discovery sessions, project kick-offs and workshops.
• Manage implementations through configuration, testing, parallel runs and go-live.
• Produce implementation documentation and handover packs.
• Build and manage project plans with milestones.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Operations and Engineering.
• Identify process improvements and shape best practices.
• Support UAT and payroll product enhancements.
• Mentor colleagues on German payroll legislation and practices.
