Job summary

Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center is seeking skilled Nordic instructors to deliver safe, dynamic coaching across clinics and programs. Instructors teach diagonal stride and skate ski, adapt to diverse learning styles, and may assist with events and lodge operations.

Higher emphasis on PSIA certification and exceptional customer service; shifts vary by season in Bend, Oregon, with a supportive team environment and focus on fun and safety.

Qualifications

PSIA Certification is required.
Advanced skiing ability in diagonal stride classic and skate skiing.
Ability to communicate with diverse guests and adapt teaching styles.

Responsibilities

Teach diagonal stride and skate ski techniques to group and private clinics.
Start classes on time and manage lesson time.
Match demos, pace, terrain to student needs.
Speak clearly, check for understanding, and listen carefully.
Emphasize safety, control, and FUN.
Attend required clinics and complete accident/incident reports.
Keep ski equipment updated and in good repair.
Shovel snow and assist with lodge upkeep as needed.
