Job summary

Taktile seeks a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead NORAM FDEs and scale delivery of AI-native solutions. You will act as senior technical leader on complex engagements and own the FDE operating system layer, tooling, and delivery standards.

You will hire, mentor, and develop FDEs, stay hands-on when needed, and partner with Product and Engineering to align roadmap with customer value. NYC office required three days per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as Implementation Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Engineer, or equivalent in a B2B SaaS company.
• Led large, multi‑quarter enterprise implementations with seven‑figure ARR.
• Strong technical background in CS/Math/Software Engineering/Physics/Data Science.
• Managed teams (5+ reports) and can grow one.
• Proficient in production Python and SQL, REST APIs, batch data pipelines, and data‑warehouse integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead NORAM 15–20 FDEs to ensure production delivery with measurable business value.
• Own Quarterly Go‑live ARR metric for NORAM and monitor contract backlog and staffing.
