Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Noon Duty Aide to supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria. You will help with student flow, ensure proper meal service, and support staff for a safe, orderly lunch environment.

Role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well with teachers, students, and administrators. Part-time hours apply, with varied shifts across school lunchtimes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion.
  • Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period.
  • Make sure each child received utensils, milk, juice and other supplies.
  • Assure that children empty their trays when finished.
  • Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time.
  • Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria.
  • Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
  • Other duties as assigned.
