Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a Noon Duty Aide for King Elementary to supervise students during lunch, assist with cafeteria setup, and help children during each lunch period.

This part-time, in-person role is a 10-month position with no benefits, starting immediately and paying $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• In Order to LevelUp: Excellent communication and organizational skills; Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion.
• Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period.
• Make sure each child received utensils, milk, juice and other supplies.
• Assure that children empty their trays when finished.
• Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time.
• Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria.
• Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Supporting staff and students by monitoring student activities, setting-up the cafeteria before, during and after lunch, and assisting children during each school lunch session.
