Job summary

Hillsboro R-III School District is seeking a Lunch Room Aide for K-6 buildings to support student supervision during lunch and recess. This role focuses on safety and positive behavior in the cafeteria and playground.

POSITION TITLE: Lunch Room Aide - K-6 Buildings
RATE OF PAY: $15.50 - $16.20 hourly depending on experience
REPORTS TO: Building Principal

Hours may differ depending on the building. The general time frame for this position is between 10:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Primary Duty

Assist the building principal in the supervision of students in the lunchroom and playground.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in supervising student in lunchroom, recess, and hallway.
  • Assists children in need of assistance with lunch when necessary.
  • Reports accidents to the appropriate building personnel.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Maintains confidentiality, unquestionable integrity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises students in lunchroom and/or playground.
