Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Noon Duty Aide for Trailwoods Elementary in Kansas City, Missouri. The role supports staff and students by monitoring activities, setting up the cafeteria before, during, and after lunch, and assisting children during each lunch session.

The position is part-time with a 10-month school year, and pays $15 per hour. Reports to the building principal and requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; strong communication with teachers and students is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion.
• Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period.
• Make sure each child received utensils, milk, juice and other supplies.
• Assure that children empty their trays when finished.
• Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time.
• Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria.
• Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
• Other duties as assigned.
