Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Noon Duty Aide for Trailwoods Elementary in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a part‑time, in‑person role with a 10‑month schedule, focusing on cafeteria supervision during lunch periods and supporting students and staff.

Salary is $15 per hour, with duties including assisting children, distributing utensils and supplies, and ensuring orderly lunch transitions. Reports to the Building Principal and requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Experience coordinating with staff and students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist children entering the cafeteria during lunch.
• Receive children from classroom teachers for lunch.
• Ensure each child receives utensils, milk, juice and other supplies.
• Ensure children empty their trays when finished.
• Ensure children line up for recess or next activity on time.
• Report 30 minutes prior to first lunch and remain 30 minutes after last lunch for cleanliness.
• Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
