Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford, NY is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our nonprofit finance team. You will manage general ledgers, perform month-end close, reconcile invoices, and handle accounts payable and receivable for a $5M operating budget and restricted funds.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably nonprofit, with ERP experience (SAGE Intacct preferred).

Qualifikationen

• 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in nonprofit.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on ERP experience; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Comfortable working in a paperless environment with various technologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Month-End Closing and General Ledger (50%).
• Assist CFO with closing books at month-end and year-end including related financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts and correct discrepancies.
• Record journal entries for prepaid expenses, deferred revenue and adjustments/reclassifications.
• Reconcile inventory for food service and retail and record COGS.
• Record all bank deposits and transfers to the general ledger.
