Job summary

Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative is looking for a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting and month-end close activities. The role involves account analysis, expense accruals, balance sheet analysis, and maintaining the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of SAP or similar accounting systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting and/or finance experience preferred.
• Good problem solving and decision-making ability.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all payroll and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting including account analysis and data review.
• Execute monthly expense accrual analysis and reporting.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and reconcile to general ledger.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access)

Knowledge and experience with SAP or other major accounting systems

Effective verbal and written communication
