Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit or fund accounting concepts preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivots, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (staff accountant, bookkeeper, or similar). Non-profit experience is a plus.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple deadlines; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist with income statement reconciliations.
• Help prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Support accounts payable/receivable processes, grant tracking, and fund accounting schedules.
• Assist with close processes, journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Provide audit support by gathering documentation and workpapers.
• Process payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations; other duties as assigned.
