Job summary

The Arc of South Florida, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain the general ledger, perform month-end closes, and support the accounting cycle across departments. You will ensure GAAP compliance, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with MIP or Microix, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality. This is a full-time clerical position in Miami Lakes, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of accounting experience with GAAP and month-end close.
• Proficiency with MIP, Microix, or similar accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with annual audit and external reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to CFO and management.
