Job summary

The Arc of South Florida, Inc. seeks a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support GAAP-compliant statements, and assist with audits. The role covers general ledger, account reconciliations, AP/AR support, and monthly close across multiple departments.

Strong Excel and accounting software proficiency are required. Based in Miami Lakes, FL, this full-time (clerical) position reports to the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and internal controls preferred.
• Experience with general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and analyze the general ledger.
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.
• Support accounts payable/receivable and month-end close processes.
• Utilize MIP, Microix, or similar systems to maintain records.
• Assist with annual audits and internal controls documentation.
