Job summary

Craft3 is seeking a Payroll & Accounts Payable Staff Accountant to join our distributed accounting team serving Oregon and Washington. Reporting to the Controller, you will process payroll, manage AP invoices, and record bank transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and timely reporting across multiple locations.

The role requires 3-5 years accounting experience, nonprofit sector exposure preferred, strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills, and ability to work remotely with local

Qualifications

• Three to five years of accounting experience, including hands-on payroll and accounts payable processing.
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and data reconciliation.
• Experience handling confidential employee and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Responsibilities: verify vendor invoices, process payments, reconcile AP subledger, assist with auditors.
• Payroll Responsibilities: manage semi-monthly payroll, ensure accurate inputs, remittances, and payroll-related inquiries.
• Banking and other responsibilities: import banking transactions, file tax returns, manage finance inbox, document procedures.
