Job summary

Craft3, a nonprofit community lender serving Oregon, Washington and beyond, seeks a Controller to oversee daily financial operations and lead the accounting team across remote locations. Reporting to the CFO, you will design internal controls, manage audits, and ensure timely financial reporting and tax compliance.

The role requires at least 10 years in finance, CPA/MBA preferred, and strong CECL/GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience.
• CDFI or similar finance organization preferred.
• Knowledge of CECL and loan loss reserves.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, regulatory and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial and accounting operations including payroll, payables and receivables.
• Design and implement policies and internal controls aligned with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and coordinate audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage annual audits and ensure timely reporting of loan-related accounts.
• Support CFO and mentor distributed accounting teams across locations.
• Monitor debt covenants and fund/grant accounting for non-profits.
