Job summary

Shepherd’s House Ministries in Bend, OR seeks a Gift Processing and Finance Specialist to accurately process, deposit, reconcile and receipting monetary and in-kind contributions. This role supports Finance and Development, seasonal campaigns, and provides backup AP/AR support.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years nonprofit gift processing or related experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, Bloomerang and Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of nonprofit gift processing or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and data entry.
• Experience with donor databases/CRM and accounting software preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and record donations including checks, online contributions, recurring gifts and in-kind contributions.
• Prepare and process contribution deposits and entry into CRM and accounting systems.
• Reconcile donations and deposits with Finance and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain donor and financial records and related documentation.
• Coordinate gift coding and donor designations with the Development Team.
• Develop and maintain gift-in-kind processes and staff training.
• Prepare financial and fundraising reports for leadership and audits.
• Support donor stewardship and fundraising activities, including acknowledgements.
