Job summary

Reading Partners, a national nonprofit focused on literacy, seeks an Accounting Capacity Building VISTA to strengthen financial workflows and internal controls. You will document processes, develop reporting tools, and create dashboard prototypes to support organizational decision-making.

You will gain experience in nonprofit accounting, financial systems, data management, and process improvement while collaborating with the Accounting team and stakeholders across Reading Partners.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Experience with accounting workflows and internal controls is a plus.
• Interest in nonprofit accounting, financial operations, or data management.

Responsibilities

• Review and document financial workflows across Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Concur, and Google Sheets.
• Identify opportunities to improve data consistency, efficiency and coordination.
• Develop standardized process guides for recurring accounting activities and reporting templates.
