Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell seeks a Director of Finance and Administration to oversee accounting, budgeting, HR, and administration. You will manage A/P, A/R, payroll, and financial reporting, and support audits and grants reporting.

The role requires Excel, QuickBooks Online, and payroll expertise within a nonprofit setting. Lead budgeting, risk management, cost controls, and policy updates while coordinating with the Executive Director and Finance Committee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting/business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• Payroll processing experience required.
• Non-profit experience helpful but not required.
• Experience with mortgage servicing is helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports; communicate monthly/annual statements and donor reporting.
• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping; manage A/P, A/R and purchasing controls.
• Support audit processes and prepare required schedules; liaise with auditors.
