Job summary

The Hollister Group is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the day-to-day financial operations for a growing nonprofit in Boston. This hands-on leadership role oversees accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and external partner relationships.

Responsibilities include monthly closes, annual audits, grants management, payroll, and internal controls. The role requires strategic and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong nonprofit financial management experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience managing grants and restricted funds.
• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and financial compliance.
• Experience coordinating audits and working with external accounting partners.
• Strong organizational and process-management skills.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to both manage and execute.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
