Job summary

Star Gospel Mission seeks a seasoned Finance Officer to lead financial stewardship, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, reporting, risk management, and administrative oversight. As a member of the leadership team, you will help ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organization while supporting programs, capital projects, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or related field.
• CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
• Minimum five years in financial leadership roles.
• Nonprofit financial management experience preferred.
• Experience with audits, budgeting, grant management, and board reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal financial advisor to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Develop financial models to support growth, programs, and capital initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare monthly financial dashboards, reports, and analyses.
• Oversee preparation and administration of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist department leaders in budget development and management.
• Perform or oversee accounting data entry and reconciliations.
• Support Board members in fiduciary responsibilities.
• Coordinate grant reimbursement requests and financial reporting requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis for major initiatives and capital projects.
• Maintain internal controls and financial policies.
