Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Approximately 7–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, nonprofit preferred.
• Experience with nonprofit financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, internal controls, and Form 990.
• Experience presenting financial information to senior leaders or a board.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and administrative operations aligned with the mission and plan.
• Own budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year projections; monitor performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; manage liquidity and investments relation.
• Conduct trend/benchmark analyses to inform leadership decisions.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with state/federal requirements.
• Oversee annual external audit and IRS Form 990 in coordination with advisers.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Board and Finance Committee; present financial materials.
• Oversee fixed assets, facilities, IT, insurance, and contracts.
• Partner with program, fundraising, and admin leaders on spending and resource strategy.
• Oversee HR, recruitment, records, compliance, compensation, benefits, and evaluations.
• Develop and mentor administrative team in an inclusive, mission-driven culture.
